CHILD AND YOUTH WORKERS (CYW)

Our CYWs provide one-to-one support for children and youth experiencing behavioural, emotional, psychological, or developmental challenges. They work in homes, schools, hospitals, community programs, and youth justice settings.

Support Provided

  1. Crisis intervention for high-risk youth
  2. Behavioural support in classrooms
  3. Assistance with academic decline or social withdrawal
  4. Support for anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, eating disorders
  5. Intervention for aggressive or violent behaviours
  6. Substance use support
  7. Support for self-harm or suicidal ideation
  8. Creating behaviour programs and structured routines

Youth Justice Support (Ages 12–17)

  1. Reintegration after custody
  2. Support with school or work
  3. Assistance during evenings, weekends, and high-risk times
  4. Peer pressure and relationship coaching
  5. Support during family tension or conflict
  6. Help accessing drug/alcohol treatment
  7. Transitioning to foster or community homes

Transitional Aged Youth (16–24)

  1. Mentorship for semi-independent or independent living
  2. Support with life skills and structure

CYWs collaborate with families, probation officers, schools, and treatment providers to ensure stability and progress.
